Hey Jack...here goes. (Excuse the technical difficulties at 13.26) ; ) On this weeks Breakonomics its double header time as Adam hands over the controls to two very special Marine Parade guests. Panty Raid and Adam Freeland split the 11 O Clocker Rocker between them with two exclusive guest mixes. "As one third of the Nu Skool Breaks holy trinity Adam Freeland is a true pioneer. Freeland's debut artist album Now and Them, released in 2003, relied on influences from punk, hip hop, electro, dub, reggae and rock. It featured the hit record 'We Want Your Soul', with his remix of Sarah Vaughan's 'Fever' nominated for a Grammy and his personally requested mix of The Doors 'Hello, I Love You' receiving critical acclaim. His latest artist album Cope™ features Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe playing drums, Alex Metric co-produced it, Twiggy Ramirez plays bass. Joey Santiago of The Pixies and Tony Bevilacqua of Distillers / Spinnerette play guitar. Plus there are collaborations with Soundpool, Vocals from Brody Dalle (Distillers / Spinnerette) and Gerald V. Casale from DEVO". Expect some very glitched out electro breaks from these two Marine Parade heavy hitters. Cant touch the untouchable, break the unbreakable, shake the unshakable... He's been called the hardest working man in breakbeat and the godfather of party breaks. And on this weeks Breakonomics with Adam Fogarty; the legendary 'KRAFTY KUTS' not only takes the time to talk to Adam about his unique story in another feature length interview, but he also throws down an exclusive guest mix on this weeks 11 O' Clocker Rocker. This is essential listening for all breakbeat fans. "Inspired by the hip-hop and electro sounds that were rocking his world, Martin first stepped behind a pair of decks when he entered a DJ competition and incredibly, as a complete novice, he made it all the way to the final. With his love affair for the wheels of steel well and truly cemented, Krafty Kuts set about learning his art, perfecting the cutting and scratching that was to become the core of his DJ sets. From humble beginnings Krafty Kuts is now one of the big players on the world’s club scene DJing alongside The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim and even the Rolling Stones. Martin is unequivocally one of the hardest working DJs around and it appears there is no end in sight to the meteoric rise of Krafty Kuts." This plus all the usual fantastic features make Breakonomics the essential soundtrack to your Sunday. Breakonomics Show 31
